How to Host
Updated: Nov 20, 2022
As a Trusted Partner within the Super Host Ambassador Program, the first pointer we can give you is to confidently embrace your space! Be forthcoming about any kinks, quirks, house rules, expectations, or cancellation policies up front so no one is left in the dark or surprised by anything unsuspected. Operating in honesty provides your guests insight on the quality of your services. This then allows you the opportunity to over deliver on expectations when they arrive and will enable you to run an efficient, effective, and highly profitable Airbnb Business!

After confirming the local regulations for short term rentals in your area, you simply need to complete the process of listing your space on the platform, determine your space’s style, upload professional photos, describe your space, highlight local attractions, determine a nightly rate, install technology to secure and manage your property (locks, doorbell, lights etc.) and go live! Create the ambiance that your services add value to the community so both you and your guest(s) can reap the benefits of your hard work.
Hosting on the platform is like playing in a big sandbox. There are many tools at your disposal, and it is up to you to decide which ones you’ll use to build your sandcastle. The biggest tip I have for hosting is getting to know your audience! Becoming familiar with why they’re in town, why they chose your property, and where they come from, can give you valuable insight on any recurring themes and how you can enhance their stay. Some hosts offer soaps, robes, water, snacks, or wine, in addition to the obvious linens, toiletries and paper towels. Check out our free inventory list that equips you with the products we recommend you keep in your rental.
Ultimately, it’s your preference on the type of experience you create
and how you structure your business model, but with all of the
resources available to you, the job to be done is still extremely simple–providing exceptional service to extraordinary people and imparting value on their lives.
